Analyzing the performance of the top 5 Maps and Navigation applications on Android in the United Arab Emirates during the second quarter of 2023 reveals interesting trends in downloads and active users.

Careem – rides, food & more showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at 7.3K in late March and peaking at 11.4K in mid-June. Weekly active users also saw a gradual rise, from 39K at the end of March to a peak of 45.6K in mid-June.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced relatively stable weekly downloads, with a slight peak at 5.5K in mid-April and another at 5.3K in the last week of June. Weekly active users remained steady, fluctuating around the 35K to 37K mark throughout the quarter.
